I write sensory-focused stories inspired by my own happy blind dog, Mario. I also create grounding resources in English and Spanish that accompany these stories which can be used by teachers, parents, or tutors to support children to slow down and notice the beautiful sensory world around us.
(And last but not least: I’m documenting my own journey of learning of digital illustration in my Creator’s blog, in the hopes that one day soon I can illustrate my own books!)

Meet Helen & Mario
When Mario lost his sight, our world changed. His blindness taught me to slow down, think creatively, and tap into all the other senses to make every day special.
Drawing on my professional background in social inclusion and wellbeing, I’ve created these resources to help children (and their grown-ups!) slow down and notice the beautiful world around us.
Through Mario’s inspiration, Happy’s adventures provide tools for mindfulness and sensory connection.
